1996 Grand Caravan Electric Locks
Lock have started to activate and deactivate on own while driving. Even unlocks van when parked. Any thoughts? If expensive repairs is it possible to deactivate electric lock system (fuse pull) and just go old 100% manual?
Thanks, Randy |

Re: 1996 Grand Caravan Electric Locks
Remove the 40 amp fuse #2 in the Power Distribution Center (PDC). That's Chrysler lingo for the fuse realy box next to the battery. This should disable the locks.
Possible causes: Weak battery or poor battery connection Loose/corroded ground or other connection Body Control Module (BCM) You could try pulling the IOD fuse in the PDC for a couple minutes. This resets the BCM. The BCM controls nearly all the electronics in the van. Here's one more possibility: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=694406
