Neon Wont Run Even with gear In!!!

I have a 2000 neon MT, yesterday it was driving fine, gears would go in with no struggle, now today in the morning, I've notice the gears wouldnt go into place, none of them. I turn off the car & put it in gear, the car move like when its turn on with the gear in place & turned on via mistake. So when this happened I pulled out first, & heard a hard cracking noise, the gears now go in to place all 5, even reverse, so now I tought it was in place, then I try to gas it, but wouldnt move, I leave it in gear, remove my foot from the clutch pedal, the car move slightly, but didnt even turned off, with the gear in place. So what can it be, did the clutch brake...any help would be great. Thanks.

I have took off my tranny, clutch seems still new, what else can it be, could it be that the tranny is broke....

Sorry it's a little confusing following your first post.

Are you saying that initially you could select ALL the gears with the car OFF, but couldn't get it to go into ANY gear with the car running? And now, you can select any gear, but when you let the clutch out, the car won't move?

It could actually be the clutch. I had a clutch disc disintegrate once (not on a neon) and the loose parts prevented the clutch from disengaging initially until they fell out and then the clutch wouldn't engage. Same as you. If you've pulled the tranny, I would at least dismantle the clutch as well and take a look at it.

I have opened tranny, Im gonna put some pics of it from all the gears, & differential, & I also found some broken bearings, I hope thats it, I would take some pics of that aswell. Also, yes the was correct what you mention, the car would go in gear, & would not run.....

Those are the parts that where broke, so anybody have a clue what they are called.

They are a called needle bearings, I found out a few days ago.

did you check your throw out bearing? that could also be the reason for your problem.
