92 probe auto stalls when put in drive

Howdy all. this car is ok when put in reverse. but when put in drive, engine stalls immediately. even when revved high. anybody have any ideas???

my buddys 91 did this after a cold air intake install turned out to be a loose connection to the mass air flow sensor hope this helps
