possibilities
engine /tranny swap possibilities for a 1992 saturn sl2 5 speed
havent gotten around to the compression check and leakdown test been busy in shop since my last post . just liek to now all the options out there or pull this engine swap in a different one and rebuild this one anyone know sites to buy a engine that woudl be a bolt up

Only another Saturn 1.9L with bolt up. No other options without a lot of work going into it.

more precisily only a 91 or 92 dohc will work with out swaping electronics. if you use a 91 you will need to reuse the 92 engine mounts

Oh, yeah. I forgot about the crank reluctor ring.

what is significant about the crankshaft in 92? some one had mentioned these were bad engines to run forced induction on .(turbo) i could have swore it was something about the crank that would kill the engine. would a later gen saturns crank work if bolted in? any possibilities to fix this problem
