How to change battery 1997 Lumina

I need to change the battery on my Lumina and I'm having trouble getting the washer fluid tank out. Is there a trick?

Okay, I just wasn't sure how hard to tug. Now I can't get the battery out, is there a bolt somewhere I can't see? Why is this so hard?!? LOL

The "masterminds" behind the lumina didn't do a real good job with some areas of the car..especially when it comes to the battery. I've never seen another vehicle where you have to remove a brace and the washer fluid reservoir just to get to the battery. At least someone had the genius to put that Auxillary terminal there. ...On that note, what's the deal with that tiny glove box? Put your owner's manual and insurance/registration book in there and there's nearly no room left at all. $#@#

If you think that was a poor location, replace the battery in a later Riviera some time.

Yes, like most later GM vehicles and many others with inaccessibly located batteries (Chrysler 300s, etc.) there is a main power node near the UEC or somewhere under the hood.
