88 Taurus Wagon--How much is it worth?
Hey everybody,
Does anyone know how much I could get for an '88 Taurus wagon (3.0)? It works well with some quirks (gas gauge works only when empty, heater core installed in unusual location--heat is all or nothing, interior lights don't work, etc.) Any ideas? Thanks. |

Re: 88 Taurus Wagon--How much is it worth?
The car is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. Generally, value varies by location in the country as well. You should watch the classifieds to see what others are selling them for. Also, use Kelly Blue Book, Edmonds, and NADA to get a general idea of the car's value for your area as well. You will need to take into account the peculiarities of your particular car as well.

Wholesale $200. Private Party $400. Dealer retail $500.
Thats in AVERAGE condition with 200K miles. http://www.edmunds.com/tmv/used/ford/index.html Click: "Vehicles manufactured before 1990," and fill in the details. Are the tires good? Is the upholstery & paint good or does it bark at you? Advertise it in the paper for "$495. OBO", (OR BEST OFFER), and you can negotiate. |
