Who do you think will win in a race

Comeing from someone with alot of autocross and to a lesser extent open track experiance. I can say with almost certainty that..... it would depend on who's driving which.

Sorry, Theoreticals on track arnt worth squat... we could debate which one has more potential though.

Someone once told me there is no limit to how fast you can tune any car, even to the point of pretzling the body with torque.

IF all cars are stock, I'd vote for the Viper.

viper gets my vote even if its got a v10 not a v8 and if you tune a car so much that the torque "pretzels" the body i doubt it would be worth much any more as a driveable car

and it depends what kind of race

That was just for the sake of power wars, and strictly speaking drag racing. If we're talking road racing, it depends on the handling and not so much the power, but a Viper has got just as good handling as the vettes: 1.2 seconds off the vettes pace driven by a professional...I think, could just be a journalist.

Compared to Vipers and Corvettes, V8 Firebirds and V8 Mustangs do not reach 'sports car handling territory', and while raced on autocross tracks and such, they are not designed as track cars, which are basically all sports cars.
