2004 Grand Cherokee Problems

Hoping someone out there may have some advice. We bought a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Straight 6 used before moving to Paraguay. The Jeep has had a strange rattle in the rear which the wonderful road conditions here has only seemed to worsen. When up on the jack nothing rattles. Any ideas? The other fun is it has now decided it just won't start! Was running a little rough in idle a few days ago. Go out this morning, and it will turn over but acts like it is not getting any gas. Checked the fuses, changed spark plugs, still nothing. Any and all advice welcome as we have not been able to get a manual on the Jeep to date.

Many thanks in advance!

Re: 2004 Grand Cherokee Problems

First things that come to mind are do you have fuel pressure and if not is that in any way related to the rattle in the back.

Do you have the check engine light lit? I believe that the crankshaft sensor doesn't throw a code and light the CE light if it goes bad.

(Note to self: never move to Paraguay without the FSM)
