7M-GE to GTE wiring...help!

I need the help of someone who's swapped a GE for a GTE. I've rebuilt the GTE bottom end and broke it in as an NA. I've got my turbo hooked up and I'm getting ready to swap the manifolds, but I've run into a problem. When swapping the wiring harness, I noticed the round yellow plug on the gte harness won't go to the factory part on the ge car... if that makes any sense. I think the part is called a solenoid resistor (on the driver's side mounted near the strut mount). Also, the connector to the solenoid resistor had a wire soldered piggy-back style onto it, but the wire leads to nothing. What solenoid(s) does this thing control? Are there any other compatability things I should know about?

You need to swap the GTE complete with ECU and harness.
