yeah the newer generation came with a jaguar 3.9l v8 with 280hp. nothing outrageous but it would be a very nice overall car. i dont think the first version had a v8 as an option, but it did have a manual tranny as an option. thats the only thing that kills me about the newer gen, no manual.

Maybe I am mistaken, I drove the earliest version that had the V8, it had the Jag V8 but it was not the 280 HP version, it was like 260 or something. Also, the dual exhaust were not visible with that bumper

i think you are right now that i think of it, there was a v8 in the old one. and i just looked on msn autos and it says 252hp. the new ones look better too tho. the first time i saw one it was in a dark tan color at the indy 500, and it was absolutely beautiful in whatever color that was.

I DO believe that you could have a 98 trans-am with 5** horsepower...I'll even give you rwhp. All you gotta do is work your ass off. I built a 95 cobra with a vortech and meth injection h/c/i and put out similar numbers.

sooooo..all I'm saying is....that if you DO own this car, or at the very least drive the car.....please don't come back on here with that car wrapped around a tree. Before I had my car I didn't know what 500+ rwhp felt like. It's scary when things get outta hand...and trust me..it doesn't take long.

anywho, just be safe if/when you have this car.
