Question what this guy told me at a new import shop

ok, first off ppl, i know nothing about lowering a car. i'm wanting to lower my ride simply for looks and handling. so i went to this new car shop that recently opened up. i told the guy that i wanted to lower my car and asked how much would it cost and he said around 250.
i do know this, that whenever you lower your car, you defintely need a camber kit. i asked him if that included the camber kit and he said no and that i wouldn't need it. just said i would need an alignment.
he also said it would be 1.25" drop in the front and 1" drop in the rear.

so my question is should i trust this shop with lowering my car with their stuff or should i buy my on?? and if so, whats a good brand(including the camber kit)?? thxs in advance!!

you have a prelude right. if it were me ide go with an eibach pro kit thats about a 1.5 drop your car is fairly low to begin with. i would also get some diff shocks. the KYB agxs will work great with those springs. groupbuycenter.com has pretty good prices on this combo. i dont know if youll need a camber kit with this set up or not. just have the money in case you need one. you will deff need and alignment.

Don't pay 250 unless you're getting coilovers. Just buy the springs and do it yourself, there are tutorials all over the net. And with a one inch drop, you're gonna waste your money with a camber kit, but yeah do get the alignment.

I've had my ground control coil-overs on my integra for almost a year now with it dropped to about 2" and no camber kit and i have no noticeable uneven wear on my tires. Yes, the front wheels do sit in a little bit and the back ones do barely, but if u live somewhere where there are a good amount of turns and not just str8 driving for miles and miles u will be fine cuz the wear evens out :alien2:

AND, since you've got 18s, your tires are gonna sit fairly staight up and down since they're so wide.

even if u do need a camber kit, which u most likely wont, then just pull the ol' washer/bolt trick. its somewhere around here....

Cant do the bolt/washer trick on the front goof

But with 18's and only an inch or so drop, they are right all you will most likely need is an alignment.
