Uhhh something bad is wrong, I need help fast!
hi I got a 97 z24, and I was driving today and all the sudden the front end starts thumping, like as you accelerate it sort of goes away but when you coast it is like thump thump thump thump thump, and so on, and sometimes when you hit the brakes it goes away or goes away partially, it has gotten much worse now, when i stop at a light and start accelerating, a big thump goes, and when i put it in reverse and start going, it sputters i guess to call it, its not the engine, it runs fine at idle, I doubt its the tranny, it was rebuilt in novermber and seesm to be running smoothly, tire pressure is good, I cant figure it out, they car is parked until I get it fixed. Help is GREATLY APPRECIATED, as I need to know what it is, rather than having a mechanic rob me of my money. Thanks in advance tons guys.

Check your boots on your CV shafts for a tear.

Lugs are just another good excuse to have/use a torque wrench. Too little torque, and what you describe can happen. Too much torque, and rotors, wheels, and hub flanges get warped.
