I ain't saying I am an expert but if both are stock you shouldn't have a problem
but only one way to find out race him and tell us how it goes and good luck!

Re: Pontiac Grand Prix SE vs. 2004 Jetta 1.8L

This section is reserved for actual STREET RACING.... No bench racing allowed......You could open a thread in the non-specific forum but you most likely get GO RACE AND FIND OUT......

Now that thats been said Jetta FTW......

2004 Jetta 1.8 turbo - 180hp/173lb.ft. 2771-3034lbs. depending on style

97-03 Grand Prix 3.1 - 160-175hp/185-195lb.ft. 3400lbs.

As you can see the Jetta has the advantage even with the heaviest body style. Jetta owns GP 3.1 stock for stock all day.....

I didn't look at the 04 part, I just knew that VW in some years had a 20V NA 1.8 4 banger.

Gotian wont be posting for you see I killed him and ate his skull. Yes his skull! I skined it, boiled it till is was just the bone then i covered it in a towel and smashed it with a sledge hammer till it was powdered dust then I threw it in the blender and mixed it with some flower and cookie dough and then I oven baked it and ate it.
so yeah....sorry.
