Nylon fuel line?
I have a 97 GS. I smelled gas under the hood. I had a leak on the feed line, (Nylon). Looked for part local. I was told a dealer only part. Dealer wants 100 per hose and 517 for labor...CRAZY!... I got a repair kit and got it working $20. Any input?

Re: Nylon fuel line?
That is a common problem and one of the causes of engine fires. Normally it is not the connectors on the pressure and return lines at the fuel injection rails but the o-ring seals. So what was in the repair kit?

Re: Nylon fuel line?
Sorry for the long wait for the reply. There was a hose about 18 inches that has a connector right to the fuel rail. I had to remove the old hose from the fuel rail and cut the hose back past the damaged fuel line. The repair kit was installed from the fuel rail to where I made the cut using an insert. I had to soften up bothe ends using hot water. Then was able to insert aq metal piece into old and new nylon fuel lines.
