94 Cop Package won't start in rain.

I got a 94 5.7 with police package, and everytime it rains i have to drive my minivan. I don't like driving my minivan. I like driving my caprice. I was thinking it was the starter before, but now i've noticed a pattern that it's only when it rains. Could that be the plug wires, or do i have a short somewhere?

Does the starter fail to operate in the rain? Or does the starter operate and the engine will not fire?

The starter turns, but the engine just doesn't catch, like there's no spark.

It could be your distributor or the cap. It may have a crack in it.

That may be true, but the OptiSpark distributor usually remains wet once it's wet. Checking for spark during the no-start condition might be helpful . I'd be more suspicious of plug wires or the coil wire.
