Sounds like a good deal, what do you think?
Looking at going with my first american car. I found a 2005 GP GTP with only 28K miles for $14,500. No leather, but everything else is immaculate. I love the way it drives but friends keep telling me that anything domestic is junk and that I ought to go japanese. Any opinions would be appreciated.
Chris PS Has anyone installed aftermarket leather in their late model GPs? Do you have any pics? |

Re: Sounds like a good deal, what do you think?
Saying anything domestic is junk is a bunch of bull. I had a 91 Grand Prix with 245,000 miles on it and it still ran like a top and got 30+ mpg on the highway. I only got rid of it because I hit a deer. I've had over 200k on many GM cars that never had the engine/transmissions out of them. Basic mainenance is all I did, tires, tune-ups, the occasional Alternator/starter, but that's it. My personal mileage champ believe it or not, was a Chevette I had back in the day, that had 400k when I got rid of it (60% highway/40% around town), and the friend I gave it to got another 200k out of it. he finally had an accident and totalled it.
