Gluing photoetch parts together
Do you use C/A glue to glue photoetch parts, such as all the parts to a brake disk, together? Isn't it a bit thick?

Re: Gluing photoetch parts together
It all depends on how strong the bonds need to be. There are many, many ways of gluing PE together, each with advantages/disadvantages. If it has to be strong, CA or epoxy are the way to go. If not, white glue, acrylic clear gloss, or (my favorite) Microscale foil adhesive work great.
![]() I'm guessing PE brakes don't need to be all that strong, but I've never used them. What do you think?

Re: Gluing photoetch parts together
Clear nail varnish also has it's uses with PE parts I have found (and my nails look pretty afterwards, too
)

Re: Gluing photoetch parts together
Just a bit of solder, liquid acid seaming solution, flame seamer if only PE and iron seamer if on white metal, CA on plastic.

Re: Gluing photoetch parts together
I've only ever done p/e to plastic, for pieces with a good surface area, just used white glue. For tiny parts like rivets just use clear paint.
