Engine temp question
I had a coolant leak so I replaced the radiator. For a while now my 94 Bravada has been reaching one bar over 200 degrees, and then goes back to 200 after a while. I replaced the radiator and the same thing happens, except it takes a lot longer for it to reach 200, and then it goes back to 200 only after about half a minute. Is this a normal temperature for the engine? It used to stay at 200 for the first two years I've had it, and then about half ay ear ago this started.

Re: Engine temp question
The factory thermostat was a 195 degree F unit for your engine. this is the temp that the thermostat is open enough to circulate the normal volume of water at a wide spectrum of outside temps.
One guys opinion. |
