The cartoons are outdated, and totally inane in today's setting. Forget about banning them for being offensive.
I mean they might be interesting to a few people, but honestly there are other things I, and probably 99.9% of the rest of the world's population would rather watch.
I wouldn't ban them, but personally if I had the choice, I'd not broadcast them to everybody either.
More interesting than the cartoons themselves, is the attitude towards them, and how indicative they are of the plasticity of moral standards.

No, as an equal opportunity abuser, these cartoons dole it out to everybody.

I watched the Bugs video yesterday at home, same gags as the Elmer Fudd version, but they were being pulled on a black guy (with stereotype emphasis) instead of a dumb white guy without stereotypes.

Sounds like the issue is abuse, vs abuse containing stereotypes.
