supercharging a 97 88?
i searched it and i didnt find the answer i was really looking for. so heres the deal. my dad works at a dealship and a 98 lss came in wit a supercharger and the car was wrecked but the supercharger was fine. they put a new engine in the car and the guy working on the car said that he would put in the supercharger in my car for 200 total cost. so my question can it be done with no mods if not what mods do i need to do to my car to fit the supercharger. I thank u in advance for ur helpedit* the lss has the same 3.8 series 2 as my car so thats why i think it can be done |

Re: supercharging a 97 88?
The K engine is not strong enough to handle this the supercharged engine has better rods, crank, pistons and so on. This is not really a good idea, especially on a 10 year old engine to begin with.

Re: supercharging a 97 88?
Done right it will run, but additional load will be put on components not designed for this application. The supercharged short block is a different "animal". l67 and l36 non- supercharged to be exact.
