03 front end howling
We have a howling noise coming from the front end of our 03 Windstar with 55k miles on it. It gets louder the faster you drive. We replaced the brake pads and it felt like the rotors needed to be turned down. I put new rotors on it and it sounded like the tires were making the noise. Put two new tires on the front and now it sounds a little louder. Any ideas before we take it to a mechanic. thanks

Re: 03 front end howling
It would be a good idea to have the front end checked out, as you are planning to do.
A good front end service is a good idea every couple of years anyhow....as they will check for wear, and excessive play......beyond what most of us can do in the driveway. It is possible that you have a wheel bearing on the way out.....or.....a number of other things.....which your visit to the mechanic will resolve.
