Is adhesive needed when installing weatherstripping?
Hi,
I'm going to be replacing the weatherstripping that goes on the body side of the door opening (not the door itself) but around the body of the car. Do I need to apply some adhesive to the new weatherstripping before installing it or will it just stay in place. This is a 1993 Sentra 2 Door. Thanks.

Re: Is adhesive needed when installing weatherstripping?
if your weatherstripping has an adhesive back then no, if you just got yourself a strip of rubber then yes, pep boys or autozone should have it in a tube for like 5 bucks

Re: Is adhesive needed when installing weatherstripping?
Update :
Thanks to Nismo. I bought a tube of that adhesive but realized that it wasn't needed. The install went smoothly and now the car is quite less noisy in terms of wind noise during highway speeds. Problem is solved.
