1988 olds 88 royale brougham 3800 191,216 miles
ok so i havent drove it since about christmas and i went to fire it up today and it started, but it seems to be running real rough, almost like 1-3 cylinders are misfiring. so i turned off and all my fluids are ok. ran the test and got code 41 and 43. i know what i have to do for code 41 cause ive had it for 2 years but 43 my book just says knock sensor. from what i know, it sends a signal to advance/retard timing, so im trying to figure out if the code means the sensor is bad or if it is getting the code because of the possible missfire/rough running. please help thanks |

Re: code 43 knock sensor???
Find and fix the misfire and see what happens, the icm can also cause this code.
