4cyl to 6cyl swap

I have a 4 cylinder 97 tj can I swap in a 6 cyl 256 from a 94 yj how hard would this be or is it possible I would be paying to have this done

Its possible, but anything is possible if you throw enough $$$ at it.
The swap would require a transmission from a 6cyl, then a transfer case from said 6cyl, the wiring harness and computer from the 6cyl, you need to relocate the engine mounts, you would need springs from a 6cyl or it will be a low rider,

If you are going to try to replace your 4 banger with a 4.0 you might want to think about just replacing it with like a Chevy 350 or Ford 302, since you already will have to change most all of the powertrain anyways.

It might be less expensive to purchase another Jeep with a 4.0L installed already and sell the old one.
