Re: My 95 3kgt SL: Sell or Restore?
Well since you know the shocks are bad I would start there since the alignment didn't turn up anything...
If the shocks are badly worn the "free play" could be coming from the shock, but it would have to be awful bad (You would have lost all the oil). |

Re: My 95 3kgt SL: Sell or Restore?
So I've been day dreaming all day at work today about my 3kgt restoration. I would be willing to drop 5k+ on the car from now till summer. Black paint job, black carpet, leather redone, rims, and make it look its best like never before.
As much as I love my 3kgt though, it just doesn't feel worth it. How much more life do you think I could get outta her? She's almost at 130k miles. I'm getting a hatchback Civic in about 2 weeks. Gonna fix the 3kgt, take the insurance off until the summer. Save up money. And then do the math. I'm going to sum up all my bills, income, possible future bills. I want to see if I can afford a 2nd gen vr4. I have to do some thinking as to what next car I'm going to get though. For months I've been saying "My next car is going to be spacious and luxurious. 3kgt's have no space. I'm kinda getting tired of sports cars." But! I never got my vr4. So I think vr4 fever is going to start before summer. If I can afford it, i'll get it. If I ever get it lol my friends would be like "omg awesome!" My family and my girlfriend would be like ... Ok you got the same car ... uhhh ok.
