4x4 in lo problem need help guys

today i put 4 lo and after it wont go back to 4hi or 2 hi i jost got new transfer case motor and evrything was ok did work good in 4 hi and auto and now it wont go to 2 hi or 4 hi its its stays in 4 lo what is going on its 2000 silverado 4x4 auto transfer case plz help

246 transfer case?
If so the shifting is computer controlled.
Any check transfer case or check engine or shift button lights flashing?
You will need to get it on a good engine transmission transfer case capable scanner and get the codes and post back codes.
Also when on a scanner most of them will have a mode shift test that you can perform.
When you changed the motor did you try shifting the transfer case shaft in all modes.
Any binding or hard to move or shift the shaft with motor off.
When stuck in 4 W low did you try backing up and or putting the transmission in neutral?

yes the transfer case is 246 and yes When i changed the motor yes it did work in all 4 lo and 4 hi and 2 hi jost today when i shift it to 4 lo got stuck and it wont go to any 4 hi or 2hi and its binding and after 30 sec it shots off i will check for codes later

If it is a 246 and it will no shift.
It will have codes set or blinking lights?
Did you check it on a good engine /transmission capable scanner or just check OBD11 code?

guys i did went to the dealer and they sed the transfer case is bad they took the transfer case motor off for now and they did shift it to 2hi but its feels like its in auto mode is ther anyway to turn of the auto mode .and what is the thing on the front axel it looks like transfer case motor what is it do . and should the front driveshaft turn when in driveing i mAY NEED NEW TRANSFER CASE where is good place to but one or its beter to rebild it and what should i pay for rebild one thanks

but I would recommend doing what MT-2500 suggested first.

if it is stuck in 4lo do not drive it to the dealer that will destroy the transfer case by going highway speeds i recommend what MT said
