Questons

So, I'm just wondering, if I can pick up a '95 or '96 325 for 10,000usd, can another 10 grand get it to around 300 horses, and more importantly, near auto-x handling (looking for around .99g or more)? I can do minor work myself, but any internals/engine building won't be done by me. Good idea ? Bad idea ?
