Re: 1996 Deville Traction Control

AFAIK, some models have a button in the glove compartment to enable and disable the traction control. Do you have any codes?

This either needs to be scanned with a scanner capable of reading bcm/abs codes or it can be done thru the a/c panel, see caddyinfo.com for details.

I would have thought the Cadillac dealer would have been able to do that. But I think he said they couldn't find the problem????

You can pull the bulb out for the light. I would first fix the problem though. With the traction control disabled in your car, it will always start out in 2nd gear, and cause some slow acceleration. I am very shocked the Cadillac dealer can't find the problem! Maybe try taking it to another dealer might get it resolved?
Have you checked the computers codes yourself? It's very easy to do! If you need help, let me know.
