1999 Crown Vic Police package HELP ME PLEASE!

ok any help or advice would help.
I bought this car about 6 months ago , 1 month ago my cars lights started to dim alot and car staled so thought my alternator was going out so i bought a rebuilt one from auto-zone for $160 put it in and car drove fine for about 4 days this my dash lights started to dim while i was driving so i pulled off to the side of the road and turned car off. Then waited tryed to restart and car would not restart so i waited about 30mins then car restarted with full lights being normal. Then next day came out to my car and it was so dead that no lights would come on or anything. i did not leave any lights on for it to drain the battery.. Then i got someone to give me a jump did that and drove fine for a few hours thought everything would be ok then got home same thing happen but this time when i got a jump it gave no sparks off the battery and would not charge or anything so i bought another new battary and car drove great, 2 days later the whole thing started over, car would not start no lights nothing,. so then when to auto zone took off the alternator to have them test it to see if it was good, they did the test on it and said it passed it was good, so then put it back on my car and would not start, so i had them check out my old battery they said it had a full charge so i took off the new battery and put the old one back on car started right up with everything normal got it back home and here i am again with the car that will not start , any ideas what this could be?? thanks joshua

The next time you have a no start condition or dim lightswiggle the wires around under the hood ( ie battery cables, ground wires, wires to the starter)...

Have a person in the car trying to start it and wiggle one wire at a time. Your checking to see if you can locate a loose connection. If it works dig deeper and check for looseness or corrsion (green inside the wire)

When you have the no start condidtion do you have any power at all (dash lights, horn anything?)

Check all eletrical connections (electrical plugs for corrsion) These cars have big problems with the wiring...

Like i said when your moving wires around be gentle for to reasons

1.) your trying to isolate the problem, so by moving more than one at time you could over look something

2.) You don. t want to create a problem with other connections

Please report back on your findings

Start with the battery cables. Make sure both ends of each cable is clean and secure.
