I'm deciding on which coil over set to go with, they're gonna be for a 95 240sx. your opinions, experiences and reasons would be great.

I say you should go w/TEIN's...16 way adjustables and probably the best out there.
You can pick them up for $1400 I believe so shop around til you get around there...so I'd go w/them. I have two friends w/Supra's and one friend w/a Civic Si who all had TEIN's and they loved them. So...I say hells yeah!!! |

DONT GO FOR THE GROUND CONTROLS THEY REQUIRE CUTTING AND WELDING, AND YOU CAN ONLY LOWER IT 2 INCHES THATS WHAT A DEALER FOUND OUT FOR ME FROM GC THEMSELVES. THATS MY 2 CENTS

From what I hear, anything from japan will be riding pretty damn stiff. If you have the money, u should try truechoice, or advance design. I always see them puttin stuff together for SCC, and it seems like they work based on your needs. You basically tell them what you want, and they build thier suspension based on your needs. Just a thought, since your already looking at the more expensive suspension options.

I know two 240sx owners (1 is S13 and the other S14) who have used the Eibach pro-kit and they tell me nothing but good things. Lowered 1.7 inches in the front and 1 in the back, stiffer than stock but soft enough for everyday driving. Be careful if you try lowering your car more than two inches though. S14s have several low-hanging fenders and exhaust parts that can easily be scraped on a speed-bump or driveway curb.
Personally, I think the stock 240sx suspension is its greatest aspect. I know some other owners who have made huge improvements in cornering stability with a couple strut bars or a sway bar.

I agree with NISSANSPDR. Try and go for TEIN supsension if you are wanting to get a good set-up. If you ever have some extra money you could always get the tein EDFC (I think that's the abbreviation for it) which stands for Electronic Damping Force Controller and it lets you change the strength from inside your car
Pretty cool if you ask me

Just a sidenote...
Prokits lower your car 1.3 inches in the front and 1 inch in the back...I had them on my S14. Loved them...but I also couldnt afford TEIN's and was only interested in mild autocrossing...if I had to do it again...I'd save up and go for TEIN's to totally kick butt!!! |

tein's
have some more info about TEIN's? like a website or so... don't want to sound like a complete idiot but I've never heard of those before LOL. Really much better then the Eibach spring setup, and that electronic damping control sounds pretty sweet.
