Radio runs battery down
When I bought my 94 from an old lady last year she said that the radio worked but it would run the battery down. Therefore it was disconnected and not fixed. I thought she did not use the car enough to keep the battery charged. I reconnected the radio and sure enough, if the car sits unused for more than 3 days the battery will not turn over the engine. I have installed a new battery and cables to eliminate any problems, but to no avail. It is a stock Buick radio/tape player. Any Ideas? Thanks for any replies.

Re: Radio runs battery down
Sure.. Most common is the antenna trying to pull down and running all night.
Start there.. If you have a electric antenna. Good Luck

Re: Radio runs battery down
The antenna does not go all the way up but does go up and down. If it is doing what you say it must be very quite and does not burn the motor up. I will pull the fuse for a couple of days to see if that works. Thanks again.
