I had this same thing happening for some time with my GMC S15 truck. I found that there was a slight crack that had opened up in the body sealing caulk that is used to seal the sheetmetal together in the firewall. Every time it rained there was a small pond on the passenger side of the floor!

If you look in the fresh air intake area right directly below the windshield (where the wipers are) you can pull off the screen that covers that area by removing the screws or small clips. Then clean it out very well, this area will sometimes get polluted with all kinds of leaf debris and other crap, and will dam up in there rusting the seams...

Slowly pour water over it while someone else watches for leaking inside. You may need to remove a few more things under the dash to see where it is coming from as well. Once I found the crack I scraped away the old stuff and put new calking in there and it never leaked again. Good luck with your repair!

Re: Water Leaking From Under Dashboard !!

The most common thing I see is the seal on the windshield creates a leak. Dealerships actually hire a person to find and fix leaks. This is all this person does is look for leaks and repair them. The sad thing is that they usually have more work than what they can get done!!!

Re: Water Leaking From Under Dashboard !!

I've had this same problem. My leak was the result of a bad seal on the windshield, specifically on the top side of the glass. The water was leaking down the front 'A' pillar and flooding the front passenger floorboard. Scraping out the old, cracked sealant and replacing it with a windshield sealant from my local auto parts store fixed this.
