'00 Tahoe Keyless Remote

I believe my battery is going dead in my keyless remote. Will I have to reprogram the remote when I replace the battery or will it be OK? I have the reprogramming procedure just in case. Also, where can I find a replacement battery...I haven't seen them in many auto shops.

there easy to find what they are is a watch battery. you can get them at target , walmart , cvs just about anywhere. once you open the remote there will be a number example 2025 take that number and look up the watch battery . Chances are you do not need to reprogram the remote unless your adding a new unit . I never had to reprogram my remotes when they went bad on my 04

Most remotes say this inside, but after you get a replacement CR2032 battery just install it and put the remote back together. Now go up near the truck and hold down LOCK & UNLOCK on the remote for 7 seconds to re-sync the remote.
