Need some smarts

Dad said if manual fails find some smarts.

86 Caravan. Had elecric fire due to short in starter. Burned cable for hood so much worse. Had to pry hood up to cut battery supply. Got harness and started splicing. Eliminated A/C circuit altogether Blue?org and Black/org (i'm thinking power windows) But Van satrs up and runs to warm they sputters and dies. Im thinking spark is not advancing. Could PCM fryed in the the short
and not telling the dist to advance?

Question Re: Need some smarts

Could be ECU, but are you sure you want to try to fix it anymore? Sounds like it's going to have infinite problems now. Anyway, possible causes could be:
Bad connections at distributor, coil, or alternator.
General fault in fuel or electrical system (infinite possibilities)
Vacuum leak on the intake side.
Insufficient fuel pressure.

Re: Need some smarts

Why don't you take the van apart, then rebuild it ?
It can be done, we have the technology...............
