I just replaced the clutch, to bearing, etc on my 1987 325is. After reassembly & test I could not get the transmission into REVERSE OR FIRST GEAR.
I don't feel any pressure in the linkage that tells me I am engaging. I am about to remove the transmission again, argh! Is there anything I am missing before doing this again. Unfortuneatly I do not know if this was a problem before the clutch went bad or was caused by my son trying to get it home? Doug |

Re: 325is transmission issue need help
are the rear wheels off the ground so that you can spin them a bit to allow engagement of 1st gear? Are you sure the clutch was bad not 1st gear? How about 2nd gear?

Re: 325is transmission issue need help
Is the clutch cylinder fully bled, and do you see it actuate (push the clutch fork) when the clutch pedal is depressed?
