2003 Tahoe check engine/ses light flashing

I have a 2003 Tahoe LS 4wd with 70,000 miles
The problem I am having is that every morning for the last 5 days the check engine/service engine soon light flashes but only for about a few seconds when when I first start my Tahoe in the morning but it only that 1 time a day it does not happen during other times of the day I tryed taking my Tahoe to a local Firestone then a dealer they both told me the same thing that they can not find the problem when the light is not on & told me to bring it in when the light is flashing but I can never make it in before the light stops flashing I thought that any code would/could be stored in the computer but they both said no

Any Idea's?

Better find a good repair shop or another dealer.

History codes will be stored with light on or off.
If the light is blink or flashing you have a cylinder miss firing at that time.
Find someone with a good scanner and they can pinpoint the problem or missing cylinder and if you get any codes post back code no.
