They need to correct that news report. They recommend buying a jack "designed to hold up a car for an extended amount of time" You NEVER get under a car with ONLY a jack holding it up. USE JACK STANDS EVERY TIME!

The guys that welded my Rodeo frame and exhaust up do primarily open air leaks, underground gas pipes and gas tanks. Talk about loco! Sometimes they would use a gas such as nitrogen to replace the oxygen in the tanks; other times they used some simple formula to calculate the number of minutes they would need to subject a given volume of air to exhaust fumes from a car/truck/motor. From what I was told, the exhaust replaces the oxygen, taking away one of the three requirements for combustion (air/fuel/spark). Needless to say, these men are compensated well for the work they do.

The picture above reminded me of the recent tidbit I learned - I'm not commenting on the picture...
