Help Please!!!

I have a 93 2 door grand am se, the front speakers aren't working at all, thought maybe it was the factory stereo, bought a new after market, nope still nothing so i took them out, tested them, they work, thought ok, maybe i am a dumb ass and didn't hook them up, but i did, everything it hooked up right, so why won't they work? can someone pls help me, also, the drivers window, goes up and down when it wants, yesterday it went down fine, but would only inch up lil by lil, push the button everyone once in a while and it would creep up about an inch or so what could cause that, pls help!!! thanks chad

Welcome to AF.

Your wires could be damaged in the door hinge area.
You might have better luck just running some new wires for them, rather then the factory wiring.

On the window could be your switch, try taking it apart and cleaning. Could be the motor getting ready to die or it could just need some lubrication on the gear/slides.
You will have to remove the door panel to find out whats up.

oh ok, well they both don't work, no damage to wires but ok, have another another problem i was working on the car this am trying to get the speakers fixed and i kept smelling anti freeze so i popped the hood and its leaking on the exhaust on the passanger side of the motor its a 2.3 quad is that the intake gasket, i swear this car is going to break me! pls help

Nope thats probly a water pump or hose leak.

no its leaking from the back of the motor if u take the spark plug cover off u can see its def fro mthe motor

Then why did you ask if you knew where it was coming from ?

Well with the stereo the wires would have to be bad if the speakers work and the stereo is working
Or if the factory amp is damaged, think its in the trunk
