Re: 02 GA GT cruise control
Welcome to AF.
Hard telling honestly. If you do a search for "cruise control buttons" you will find several complaints about different problems. The only way I know of to fix it is to replace the button unit. Which to remove you need to pull the steering wheel apart and remove the air bag to get to the mounting screws that hold the cruise controls.

Re: 02 GA GT cruise control
I doubt the servo unit is the cause here.
If you keep pushing/messing with the "set" button sometimes it will work. My GT is often like this, and sometimes it wont set at all until I shut off the car. My Cruise light on my dash doesnt work either, which thats probly a bulb failure. If you cant get it to work then, maybe you can get it checked out. The unit is on the pass side engine bay.

Re: 02 GA GT cruise control
Also make sure the fuses and the relay are working.
