1990 Chev Lumina Oil Pressure
Help!!!!!I have a 1990 Chevy Lumina that has lost oil pressure. The oil is full but the guage seems to show very little pressure. Any Sugestions?

Before you panic, if the engine isn't making any ticking or knocking noises, try changing the oil pressure sensor. It may be faulty and not sending a proper signal to the guage.

If you didn't have any oil pressure then I'm sure you would notice a serious loss of power. I agree with richtazz, it may just be the sensor.

Hi All
This is my girlfriends car. Where do we find the oil press sensor? Is there a way to manually check the pressure? Since the press is low on the guage we have been spooked to drive the car. Thanks for your input |

Thanks for all the great information. I replaced the oil pressure switch and low and behold I know have oil pressure. This has been a great help. Thanks again!
