Air Bags

I was involved in an accident where a vehicle hit me in the Left front quarter panel and in turn, pushed me into another vehicle, on my right front quarter panel. My front grill and bumper were thrown from my vehicle and my air bags did not deploy. Has this happened to anyone else, as I think the impact was hard enough to deploy the bags. My vehicle was a 2000 Grand Cherokee.

The front air bags deploy on rapid deceleration, not side impacts.
