NBA All-Star Weekend

So I'm sitting here watching the All-Star activities, waiting for the dunk contest to come around, and I can't help but to think how weak all this other b/s is. The 3 people to a team shooting contest was whack, they couldn't even get the shot clock to work right. The skills contest was equally gay, the players were hardly even trying. And now Charles Barkley is gonna have a foot race against a 60 something year old referee.

Now the NBA by no means is an extremely ecxiting league, not counting playoff time, but hell you'd think All Star weekend would be more exciting. I'm hoping the dunk contest will save the night, but they'res only 4 compeitors. 4! What the hell is that, I could've sworn there was alot more in previous competitions.

Re: NBA All-Star Weekend

If you ask me the NBA is going through it's slow time. Just like MLB did years ago. I use to be a huge bball fan, but it's just gotten boring. Yea there are some excellent players that can rival Jordan, but they still don't bring that same charisma that he did. Or even people like Rodman.

I think it's really sad that their stand up player is the, still very young, Lebron. He's probably the most stand up guy in the game right now. He's mature beyond his years. Everyone talked so much shit about how he would fall into all the traps and become a Kobe Bryant, selfish a-hole. Far from it. The guy deserves mad props.

Re: NBA All-Star Weekend

Yea definitely, LeBron's about what, 20 years old? Its blows my mind to think he's only a year older than me with the world at his fingertip's.

Can't wait for playoff time though. Gonna be a damned good year for the Mavs, just wish they didn't blow it last year so we could've won it all back to back.
