1991 Shortbed - Should I buy this???

Hey Everyone, I am looking at a 1991 Toyota Shortbed Standard Cab. The owner is not budging at $5000. Is this a good price? Here are some details: (and sorry to bother with such trifles)

immaculate body & interior
80,000 mi
2nd owner, 1st was 82 years old
Drives perfect
Has Canopy
economy model (no extras)
Engine is clean
New Tires
Nice rims

Ok, I can't think of any more details. I would really appreciate any help. Thanks Alot, Tyler

Seems like the price is too high to me by at least a $1000. You can go to www.nada.com to get car values.

Is it a manual or automatic transmission?
Price seems high to me since the new price at the time (1991) was about $10,000.

That is definately high. Around $3000-$3500 would be more fitting. However, 80K miles is pretty low on one of these.

If you want it then go for it. Good ones don't come cheap and I'll assure you it won't last long no matter what the blue book valve is!!

My parents paid 12,500 in early 99 for graduation gift on this truck and it was bone stock with 36,000 miles.

$4000 at most. Do your homework, look at the classified ads (private party sellers, not dealers) in your local papers to see what the average is in your area.

That is definately way to much. I would offer him about 3500 dollars. There is no way that that truck is worth more than that. KBB is 3000 dollars for that truck.
