Can a bad catalytic converter damage the sensors?
My check engine light is on and I ordered a universal Denso o2 sensor to replace a bad downstream sensor. If I put in the sensor and the catalytic converter is bad, will the cat burn it out?

yes, eventually the new O2 sensor will go bad, if you have a bad cat.

Re: Can a bad catalytic converter damage the sensors?
Thanks for letting me know. I am going to buy some headers and a new cataliytic converter along with the sensor. Hopefully this corrects the problem. I'll post.

Re: Can a bad catalytic converter damage the sensors?
How does a catalytic converter go bad? Beside rust. It's just a tube filled with metal.
