The worst journey of my life! yesterday Carlisle to Sunderland
Just bought a banger for to get to work and back...
But the steering is as stiff as hell. I drove the 70 mls back home and it was the worst jouney of my life. i had to wrestle with the steering wheel to control it. Car should never have been sold in this state! Anybody any ideas...Steering rack?? or what

Thanx for your input on this thread. I am going to try and diagnose it myself.
At the moment the car is in my drive up on axle stands and I have just purchased a Ball Joint Splitter to remove the trackrod ends to examine the rack, I'm not sure whether it is the steering rack or the struts...We shall see. Further info when I have an update.
