Brakes for 95 DX

Friend has a 95DX coupe, and he said his brakes suck.

1. How much for AEM big brake kit, and what type of brake bias would occur with the stock rear drums?

2. GSR Brakes, front and rear. Yay or nay? Better than just gettin AEM kit?

Which one would produce the greater stopping power? Are the drums even worth changing over?

Thanks
Maurice

I don't think they make a big brake kit for dxs, just EX/Sis.

I'm getting gsr brakes all around on my hatch, then aem big brakes for the front.

Gsr brakes are definitely a good idea, and the drums are definitely worth changing over.

Thanks for the reply. Are there any other components involved in switchin from DX to GSR brakes? Like the master cylinder and brake booster upgrades? And about how much would a set of used GSR brakes (and all the extras) cost?

Thanks
Maurice

Yeah, if you're getting full gsr brakes front and rear, you're gonna want the MC, booster, and prop valve. And for the rears, make sure you get the e-brake cable. I've got front gsr brakes sitting in my room right now, but I'm not sure if I need to put the MC or booster on with the fronts only. I've been trying to figure it out cause I've got them too.

I paid $150 for my front brakes, with MC and booster. But that was a deal and a half. They usually run around $250-300 for either the fronts or rears.
