95 Galant starting problems

Here's one for you Mitsubishi experts b/c I find this quite baffling-I've got a 95 Galant, 2.4 L and it just doesn't want to start sometimes. I've got fuel, and I got fire! I turn over the engine yet it doesn't want to start. I can take the plugs out one by one and they're saturated with gas. I brush the plugs off and crank the engine over to blow out all the excess gas. By the time I get to the 3rd plug and I crank it over to remove excess gas out of that cylinder she'll start hitting, act like she wants to start? I'll do this several times, like 4 or 5 repeating the same process and I'll finally getting it to start. Now once she's started she runs pretty good. No other problems, I can shut it off and she'll start right back up? but when I let her sit overnight and go to start up the next morning, She doesn't want to start, she acts to me like she's flooded. I've looked at the fuse box and have seen 2 different fuses marked ALT/CHOKE. Does this car have a choke system? I've looked in a Chilton's for this vehicle and haven't found anything on a choke system? Maybe an air mixture problem?, MAF?, I'm really not sure?? Anybody with insight in this matter would be greatly appreciated!

Re: 95 Galant starting problems

I have the exact same problem with my 93 Galant. A mechanic told me that the distributer was bad so I replaced it, but that did not solve the problem.
This car has a new battery New distributer, new alternator, new startet, new computer, new fuel filter. But still is hard to start in the morning. It takes about 10 min. to get it started, but once it is warmed up, it starts fine. I am stumped. I need some help on this.

Re: 95 Galant starting problems

I have the same issue as what you guys did with the hard starting. I was wondering what fixed it, was it a fuel check valve or a fuel accumulator?
