Swap Auto Tranny for Stick?
Got a 91 Auto with the 4A-FE. wondering how much trouble it wold be to swap it out for a stick. Are the mounts there in the auto chassis for the clutch, what abou the ECU, and what about the mount up to flywheel? etc.... ????

it can be done but u need pretty much a whole new car for parts. your better off selling your auto and buying a stick.

drive shaft? you might need new shift linkage...actually you WILL need shift linkage but i dont know where the drive shaft comes from....

Thanks guys. I'm not going to go through all that for a 91 celica. I thought it would be like my Mustang GT where all i had to do was buy the stick parts and bolt them in. Oh well. I guess I'll sell the auto and just get a stick. Maybe.
