1990 throttle body no fuel at start up
I'm having trouble getting it started cold or hot. It's for sure not getting fuel as I try to start it, then runs great once running. Seems that the fuel is leaking back into the tank and has to run back through the lines to the throttle body or the injector isn't opening as it should only at start up. I have to really crank it before it gets fuel. I can spray WD-40 in and it starts right up. Just not getting fuel for 30 seconds or so.
Any Help.. |

Re: 1990 throttle body no fuel at start up
When you turn the key on, no crank, can you hear the pump run for a few seconds?
The symptom of a bad fuel pump relay, can be an extended crank. With the oil pressure switch in the fuel pump circuit, once you crank it enough to build oil pressure, the switch closes and the pump runs, even if the relay is faulty. I'm not saying replace the relay, check it. On the 2.2L vin G engine, I believe the throttle-body has an internal pressure bleed-off circuit. When you kill the engine the pressure will bleed off. How is your fuel pressure? |

Where is the relay located? I'll have to check the pressure
