3000gt vibrates randomly

Every once in a while my car will vibrate. It doesn't really do it under any certain circumstances, it will do it for 5 minutes and then everything will be smooth again. It almost feels as if the tires were not alligned, it only does it at high speeds but like I said, not very often. (I'm sure it does it at lower speeds but it's more noticable at higher speeds.) Any ideas?

Re: 3000gt vibrates randomly

where does the vibration come from? can you be more specific?

you could always get your tires balanced. but before i suggest that, give us more details. it could be a loose part vibrating at that high speed.

Re: 3000gt vibrates randomly

Honestly, I can't think of any other way to explain it, lol. It's like a steering wheel vibration, but also in the gas pedal. My girlfriend can feel it in the passenger seat when it happens too, so I guess it all over. Just as it would do if the tires were inbalanced.

Re: 3000gt vibrates randomly

Well it happens when theres no snow on the road. Plus if it were ice I would think it would happen all the time rather than on or off like it does. I dunno I'm stumped. Everything that I've ever driven vibrates either constantly, or never at all.

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.
